Gold ornament - printing nail foil

I have been studying new nail art technique these days. Unfortunately I didn't have the right UV painting gel for that purpose, so I tried with Black Pool Shellac ( gel polish). To be honest it doesn't work so well with it.

Lucky me, I found distributor for UK of this paint and ordered it and hopefully will get it delivered next week (not like with the delivery of my new builder gel - 2 weeks even that supplier is based here in UK).

 

Lets see now what I managed to create using gel polish.

 

 

 

Lets say first that these are my natural nails and I do not like applying any UV gels or gel polishes, therefore I used a mixed way of doing it.

 

I put base coat on the nails except on the accent ones. On them actually just on half nail. Then I buffed little part where I needed to apply black gel polish, because it sticks on rough or sticky surface.

I put two thin layers and cure each of the 2 mins. Then placed nail foil to print. After that I covered with gel top coat only that part with the foil and cured for 2 mins, cleaned with wipe off solution.

 

 

Then under the printed foil painted the nail in white or red. At the end covered the whole nail with Seche Vitte top coat.

My second post for today will be about the new items I got today.

These are nail foils with different style.

 Like every kit and that one contained special foil glue and top coat.

Hope to make my first design with at least one of them soon.

Step By Step Foil Bowl

Good evening,

I do not have this time any new designs to show you therefore you will see in steps how to make a foil bowl.

Here is what you`ll need

 

 -base coat, top coat, a piece of foil and foil glue, black acrylic paint and detailed brush, Essence colour arts base(I use it over the foil before the top coat to avoid wrinkle)

And now the steps:

• Paint your nails with just base coat or any desired colour

This is the small piece of foil you need

 After it dries well apply the special foil glue and leave it to dry until becomes transparent, which takes approximately 10 minutes. ( You can apply the foil on wet polish instead of using foil glue. I prefer using the glue)

 The cover with the 2-in-1 varnish provided in the foil kits or you can use the special nail art base if you find one.

 Outline your flowers, bowls, balls, butterflies and so on with black acrylic paint or black polish.

 When it dries apply top coat. ( I have tried 3 types of top coats over this foil designs and will show you the results next time. So far I am happy only from Seche Vitte,others smudged the black lines)

Nail Foil Designs

And the last I will show you is another nail foil designs. Some are quite simple.

 

 Just use your imagination and apply the foil in position you like, then add glitter or Swarovski crystal.

 For the next ones I used combined technique with hand painting with acrylic paints. I made experiments covering them with Poshe top coat, Seche Vitte top coat and wet look top coat. So I found that wet look one cannot be used on foil. Poshe sometimes smudge the acrylic paints or balck polish used to outline the shapes. So the only one I recommend is Seche Vitte.

Five To Twelve

Good evening,

I am here again to show you several things. Lets start first with the design I made the last minute before the new year.

The main colour I used is red from KIKO Laser Nail Lacquer 432. Ring nails, which will be the accent ones I painted with another KIKO polish and it is French Manicure 206. They both are really lovely and good quality lacquers. There was an offer just £2.50 each so  I could not resist the temptation to get them.

After the polish dried well I applied some foil glue and when it became transparent I put the foil on the nail. Steps how to make it I showed you earlier.

 There is ..the foil is ready and covered with the special top coat. Then with black acrylic paints and detail brush draw the numbers and lines to look like a clock. Add some white snowflakes and dots.

And at the end covered it with Seche Vitte fast dry top coat....

Nail foil designs

To start creating this lovely designs with nail foil I was inspired by on great nail artist from Bulgaria.

They look really amazing once you know how to make them properly, which is not really easy actually.

Lets see what some of them and then you will give you some tips how to be done.

On the first picture you can see the clock showing 5 to 12 before the new years starts. The last two (which were actually my first attempts) are not so successful.  The foil shrinked unfortunately after I applied the top coat, don't know why, even that over the foil I applied the top coat provided in the kit.

Anyway my third attempt was ok, which is the first tips on the pic. The second tip is a clock made with regular nail polish. In my next post you will see this clock on natural nails.
